Welcome to the online message board for the Swinburne Master of Strategic Foresight Program (2001 - 2018). This message board has been created to capture and share the history, the experiences, and the future of the Swinburne Strategic Foresight community as the program comes to an end, and is taught out in 2018.
Found this image from October 2014 - lunch on the last day of FKM2 (with at least one ring-in, too, by the look of it ;-)
The final clearing of this incarnation of the MSF (13 Oct 2018, 21C) - thank you to Emily for taking taking the photo! Note that Mel was there too - telepresencing by iPad! Sara and Cara couldn't make it but were missed1
Big thank you to Joe - I'll never forget what an incredibly enjoyable and life enriching experience the MSF has been.
Almost all of the the December 2017 MSF graduating class (almost - Sharyn was not there for the picture...).
LtoR: Amy, Michael, JV, Dave, Sarah, Polina, Toby, Sheila.
August 2018 graduation - Toby, Raja, Amanda, Joe & Sylvia
And that's a wrap!
The End of the Swinburne MSF - the Last Day of 21st Century Challenges: Sat 13th October 2018.
Q: What now?
A: Trust Emergence....
I couldn’t go to the wake. I was too angry. I’ve only just looked at this board. I’m still annoyed. In Peter and Joe I found two wonderful colleagues who just seemed to fit whenever we spent time together- which wasn’t often. Two great human beings who worked diligently and had fun and lots of coffee along the way. You fought hard boys but eventually they pulled the rug out. What I realise now is they can take away what you have achieved nor what you control achieve through the alumni of your courses. I’m still miffed at the lack of foresight in pulling the program and am in wonder at how you both dealt with it so elegantly. I was honoured to have you as colleagues and hope I might be able to have that long avoided coffee with you soon. Julian
